DataLife Reveals The Dark Truth About His Latest Release

Presented by DL Music Group, “Conquest,” the new single by DataLife featuring Pusha Preme, premiered today on SpotifyApple Music, and all major platforms.

Pusha Preme is a Tampa, Florida-based Hip-Hop & Afro-Beat/Afro-Pop artist that has appeared on the Billboard Charts on multiple occasions. He’s been making a name for himself as a rising star in Florida over the past several years with back to back releases (sometimes, multiple releases in the same day), stunning music videos, and a long list of live performances.

Pusha Preme’s vocals for the song were recorded at Grand Bay Studios, located in Tampa Bay. DataLife’s vocals were recorded at Flood Recording Studios in Bradenton, Florida, where the song was also written, arranged, and mixed. The music was produced by multi-genre producer, Impala Drummerz and the final mix was mastered by legendary mastering engineer, Andy Vandette (Beastie Boys, Sublime, Whitney Houston).

Both musically, and lyrically aggressive, the song also contains a deeper meaning. DataLife explains that the inspiration for his lyrics came from topics that pertain to modern life in the digital age. Concepts like surveillance capitalism, and the collection and exploitation of data without consent, were some of his primary motivations for writing the chorus of the song.

“What’s happening right now [and what has been happening for many years now] is a new form of conquest, because it involves taking resources from individuals without their knowledge or permission,” says DataLife. “And it even has the potential to shape the way that people think, act, and interact with each other. Make no mistake, this is a conquest.”

The official music video for “Conquest” was recently filmed, and DL Music Group plans to announce the release date of the video soon.
